Site Rules

DISCLAIMER

The following rules are very important and not meant to be broken. Ever. This site, on a whole, doesn't have a lot of rules, because I want it to be very freelance - that's why the rules you are about to read are critical and meant to be followed at all times.

GENERAL RULES

• Respect everyone you encounter on the site, whether they be members, staff, guests, whatever; all people deserve respect.
  
  
• This site is rated PG-13 due to Proboards TOS.
  
  
• No explicit sexual content is allowed on the site; violation of this rule will result in an automatic ban from the forum.
  
  
• You only need one account, this site does not follow the whole 'an account for each character' rule.
  
  
• As this is a stray cat RPG, you may not create a character as a dog, horse, human, vampire, werewolf, octopus, gerbil, or blobfish. The only types of playable characters are stray cats, I think you get the memo.
  
  
• There is no magic on FA, as it is not a fantasy RPG. Use your imagination, go out there and have fun.
  
  
• THIS IS NOT A WARRIORS ROLEPLAY.
  
  
• Do not advertise anywhere but the advertisement board. If I see any other advertisements anywhere, even in signatures, they will be deleted. This is no spam land.
  

SITE RULES

• Try to post at least once a week IC.
  
  
• Get involved in the site, post in the out-of-character threads, compete in contests, maybe even open a graphics studio.
  
  
• Log on often, even if it means just dropping a "hello" in the c-box. Accounts that have been inactive for over a month are subject to deletion!
  
  
• Be considerate with your posting colors. Honestly, it is recommended that you use a table if you plan on editing the colors of your post. Skins can change, and eventually your colors will be unreadable, or just downright ugly.
  
  
• No avatars bigger than 100 x 100!
  
  
• When posting in-character (IC), your post must be at least a 100 words long or Proboards will not allow you to post.
  
  
• Take heed of what you're writing -- grammar was not that hard of a subject in school, and I hope you did your homework, because I will not accept any belligerent, illiterate posting on this forum.
  
  
• If you are going to be gone for an extended amount of time, let us know in the absences thread so we'll know when you will be back!

C-BOX RULES

• No advertising in the c-box. There is a board for that.
  
  
• No explicit sexual content (i.e. 'cybering').
  
  
• No more than 3 consistent posts or you are considered spamming.
  
  
• Do not give out any personal information you do not want the whole world knowing about. Anyone can access the c-box.
  
  
• Have your name match that of your account, or at least somewhat resemble it. Like, let's say you had a long account name like "Fallen Star", your name in the c-box could be something like "Star" or "Starry". Don't make it your real name.
  
  
• No fighting in the c-box. If you really, truly have a problem with someone that you cannot ignore for any longer, take it up with them via PM or contact me.
  

SETTING/TIME RULES

• FA takes place in a fictional town called Oakridge, assumed to be somewhere in the north east of the United States of America. Being in the Northern Hemisphere, its seasons fall under that type of calender.
  
  
• Seasons are two weeks (real life time). This would make a year approximately eight weeks long.
  
  
• Your character is allowed to be in multiple threads at once, but keep in mind he or she cannot be in all of these places at the same time. One thread must have come before the other!
  

FELINE RULES

• Your character can live to about roughly ten years old, and must be dead by their eleventh birthday. Think this is young? Check our "Need to Know Thread About Cats", it will inform you that feral cats live an average of 4.7 years, with a range of 0 to 8.3 years. (Source, Wikipedia)
  
  
• Cats normally reach sexually maturity at around half a year. Since it is hard to track months on a forum that does not go by real time, we will round that to a year.
  
  
• Your cats must have natural coat coloration. Although, I'll let it slide on eye color. Eyes can be any color you want.
  
  
• Your cat may have been born a stray, or come from an owner. It doesn't matter either or.
  
  
• If your cat was born a stray, in your application you must add mixed-breed to the breed of your selection (i.e. mixed-breed Persian), for it is almost utterly impossible for your stray to be a purebred.
  

ROLEPLAYING RULES

• No godmodding. (What is 'Godmodding'?)
  
  
• No powerplaying. (What is 'Powerplaying'?)
  
  
• Keep in mind your character's personality and appearance. We don't need anyone getting confused.
